Auditions for Symphony of the Southwest

Symphony of the Southwest announces the following vacancies for the 2010-2011 season -


Violin 1, three, possibly four positions , $31.50 per service

Violin 2, two, possibly three positions, $31.50 per service

Horn 4, one position, $31.50 per service

Violin Audition Information

Auditions will be held Saturday, September 11, 2010, 9:30am at

Carson Junior High School
525 N. Westwood
Mesa, AZ 85201


Applications must be received by 5:00 PM, September 9, 2010.


A non refundable audition fee of $20.00 is required from each participant. Make checks payable to Symphony of the Southwest. Please include with your check the application form and a brief resume. Those who do not appear at the audition site at the designated time or fail to cancel 24 hours before the audition will forfeit their $20 check.


Send the audition application, a brief resume and the non-refundable $20.00 audition fee to – Symphony of the Southwest, 122 N. MacDonald St., Mesa, AZ 85201.

Auditions for Youth Symphony of the Southwest!

On Wednesday, August 11 and Thursday, August 12, the Youth Symphony of the Southwest will be holding auditions for their 2010-2011 season.  The Youth Symphony of the Southwest is a full symphony orchestra and will perform literature from the standard orchestral repertoire.  The group is lead by Symphony of the Southwest music director, Cal Stewart Kellogg.


Youth Symphony of the Southwest will perform 5 concerts this upcoming season, including a side-by-side concert with Symphony of the Southwest in December.
