The Soloist, based on a true story about a schizophrenic homeless man, cellist and violinist living on the streets of Los Angeles, is the inspiration behind our upcoming food drives in March in conjunction with American League of Orchestras and Feeding America. As one of over a hundred orchestras reaching out to the community during the month of March to collect food donations, Symphony of the Southwest recognizes the power of music and community united as one. The Soloist is set for theatrical release April 24, 2009.
