Inside Music: Mendelssohn Revealed

A special event presentation for our supporters and members revealing the extraordinary life of Felix Mendelssohn, his instrumental role in Western society’s re-discovery of J.S. Bach music, and how worldly influences shaped Mendelssohn’s music. This special presentation honors the bicentennial of Mendelssohn’s birth and is presented through story narration, excerpts of his music such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and culminates with a full performance of Mendelssohn’s Scottish Symphony no. 3, op.56 in A minor.
